This was my original design submitted for our State Quarter Design Contest in early 2005. The new Gov. gave the design responsibilities over to the mint after the contest was suppose to be finished. The residents did not really have a say in what their final 3 State designs would be. All the Washington State artists that submitted thousands of designs, were all left out in the cold. We do get to vote for one of the Mints proposals. It's amazing how the final design was very close to mine!
